What did a traditional dress of the Kujawy region looklike? How did our ancestors make butter, shred cabbages or do the laundry? These are just a few things you can find out in our recreated cottage called Chata Kujawska.
In this unique place, a 19th century kitchen and bedroom have been reconstructed and furnished with original equipment and objects used at that time in Kujawy. The furnishings include a spinning wheel, a cradle, a kitchen dresser etc., as well as an oven where meals used to be cooked in the past, and… a dowry chest.
A visit in the cottage is a peculiar meeting with the history of the region in which folk culture provides solid foundations.
